Carbon Footprint & Renewable Energy
Evergreen Dental Staffing Agency is working to understand and reduce the environmental impact associated with operating this website and platform. This page sets out a transparent, high-level estimate based on available usage information. It is not a certified carbon footprint, a lifecycle assessment or a carbon-neutrality verification.
Estimated gross footprint: roughly 1–2 kg CO₂e per month, or approximately 15–25 kg CO₂e per year. This is an indicative estimate before any renewable-energy procurement or matching claims are considered.
How the estimate is calculated
The estimate uses broad, published web-carbon intensity assumptions and observed platform usage rather than metered emissions data.
- Data transfer: approximately 15–20 GB per month served to visitors. Using an illustrative intensity of around 0.05 kg CO₂e per GB gives an indicative 0.8–1 kg CO₂e per month.
- Compute and database: the platform uses on-demand serverless services, so compute and database activity generally scales with use. At the current level of activity, this is estimated to add less than 1 kg CO₂e per month.
- Scope and limitations: the estimate is a gross operational estimate. It does not include a full lifecycle assessment of devices, networks, offices, staff travel or the supply chain.
AWS and renewable energy
The platform is hosted on AWS. Amazon reports renewable-energy procurement and matching progress across its operations. Those corporate procurement or matching claims should not be read as a statement that a particular Evergreen workload, server or moment of electricity use is physically supplied by 100% renewable electricity.
We therefore do not use those claims to describe Evergreen itself as carbon neutral, or to reduce the gross estimate above to zero. Any future carbon-neutrality claim would require documented boundary-setting, residual-emissions accounting and credible, appropriately evidenced reduction, offsetting or removal activity.

Our approach
We will keep this estimate under review as traffic, architecture and available supplier evidence change. Where practical, we aim to reduce unnecessary data transfer, retain efficient delivery patterns and use supplier information responsibly and transparently.
